"The Small Miracles have an underlying suburban theme in a similar way to the small suburban etchings made in 1988-89. They also hark back to an earlier series of images depicting my friends as saints. The images are an assortment of odd and eccentric characters and curiosities.

There is nothing miraculous about the events, but by meditating on them we make them important and give them relevance as small miracles." - Ron McBurnie.
